Jason Governo, MS, is an Agricultural Engineer and business man that earned his B.S and M.S from the College of Engineering at the University of Georgia. His primary research efforts were developing modeling software for the characteristics and design of windrow composting operations. The resulting software that was developed from his research has become an industry standard for determining feasibility of new composting operations. He served as a University specialist for compost and organic business management, organics recycling and pollution prevention programs in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. His primary responsibilities were to provide technical assistance to the compost industry in Georgia by conducting feasibility assessments, permit acquisitions, process designs and project management.
